Locally, just a short walk from our apartments, the natural swimming pool in Radnig offers an idyllic quiet location and is especially great for families with small children.
The house is perfect for all hiking lovers to start their walking or hiking tours. Without using your car, you can just start your walks to the surrounding Alps (mountain pastures) or up the mountains.
This fascinating landscape offers all different hiking experiences, starting from a simple relaxing walk over meadows and fields and ending with special mountain hiking and climbing tours up to the Alps, mountain tops or the clear tarns.
Explore the marvellous landscape of the Alps with its special flora and fauna. 1000 km of hiking trails from 500 m elevation gain to a maximum height of 2400 m, where farmed Alps invite you to stay, are available. At your request we come along.
Some of the valleys farmed Alps are also comfortably reachable by car. You better not miss these places with the famous Gailtaler Speck (an absolute special smoked ham which is only available in the valley of Gail) and our famous Gailtaler farmed Alps cheese!
One of the warmest lakes for bathing of carinthia, the Pressegger Lake is only 5 km away from our house. The lake reaches temperatures up to 28°C with an excellent water quality, which means the water is clean enough to drink. Around the lake you can find different nice swimming areas (beaches) to relax which also include children's playground facilities.
Various easy and relaxing biking tours for the whole family to enjoy as well as sophisticated tours for advanced (mountain) bikers can be started in Radnig. Through the valley of Gail runs the Gailtal Cycle Path R3, just along the Gail River. There are different rest points, sights and attractions on the way, and different opportunities to swim. Situated between the Carnic Alps and the Gailtal Alps, Nassfeld is home to a network of MTB and cycle trails measuring a total of 950km and even crossing the border into Italy.
